Robert Fitzgerald — Founder & Managing Principal
Rob has spent more than 25 years building and leading security, risk and compliance organizations — and he has sat in the seats Top7 fills. He built the information security function at Hittite Microwave (NASDAQ: HITT) and led its security integration through the Analog Devices acquisition, ran security operations for athenahealth's cloud healthcare platform, led cyber programs for financial-services clients at PwC, helped grow Mandiant's national consulting division from $0 to $50M in three years, and served as Field CISO at Blue Mantis.
He is a three-time founder with three exits: Untangled Web Design; The Lorenzi Group, a national digital forensics and expert-testimony firm with a government-grade forensics lab; and Arcas Risk Management, a cybersecurity and compliance consultancy he scaled from $0 to $2M in 24 months and sold to Blue Mantis.
For 15 years Rob served as a testifying expert on cybercrime in state and federal courts, where his analysis and testimony contributed to multiple legal precedents. He is an international keynote speaker on security, AI and entrepreneurship and an on-air cybersecurity expert for Boston TV news. He holds an MBA in Executive Management from Suffolk University and a BA from UMass Amherst.
